Job Title: Industrial Technician

Join Versova Inc as an Industrial Technician and be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining and repairing various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing processing systems and industrial machines.

Job Summary:

As an Industrial Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment. You will work closely with the production team to ensure the proper functionality of our machines and support the daily achievement of production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, including automation, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  2. Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues, and perform essential repairs.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on plumbing and spray systems.
  4. Perform preventive maintenance on schedule for machines and supporting equipment.
  5. Assemble, install, test, and maintain basic electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
  6. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  7. Troubleshoot and replace or repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  8. Responsible for maintaining tools, keeping them clean and in good working condition, and keeping work areas organized and clean.
  9. Work in a safe manner to protect yourself and coworkers, and identify and correct unsafe conditions.
  10. Follow all compliance, food safety, and biosecurity rules, policies, and procedures, and report any violations to a supervisor.
  11. Assist other Technical Service employees with any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  2. Prefer additional trade or technical school education for maintenance, mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical.
  3. Knowledge of electrical, electrical testing devices, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  4. Prefer 2+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance.
  5. Maintenance experience in the food, poultry, or agriculture industry not required but is a plus.
  6. Reading and comprehension skills necessary to read, understand, and follow SOPs and other written instructions or work details.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and management.
  8. Sound work ethic, honesty, team-oriented, and moral character.
  9. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Experience with safety equipment such as LOTO, harnesses, lanyards, hoists, and PPE a plus.
  11. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holiday hours as required based on production demand.
  12. Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 75+ pounds.
  13. Expect walking, climbing (ladders and stairs), standing, and sitting for long periods of time, and able to work in tight spaces.
