Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

This is a full-time position with a competitive wage starting at $22.50, including a benefit package with health insurance, dental, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, paid personal time off, paid holidays, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and a $1,000 referral bonus.


Key Responsibilities:

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing processing systems and industrial machines and supporting equipment.

You will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, periodic testing, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. You will also perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and effectively, ensuring the proper functionality of our machines and supporting the daily achievement of production goals.


Essential Job Functions:

Under general supervision, you will repair and perform basic maintenance on industrial machinery, including automation, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, using manufacturer recommendations and company SOPs to ensure equipment is performing safely and to required specifications.

You will identify the root cause of basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues and perform essential repairs, including fabricating, plumbing, or replacing defective components.

You will work with appropriate personnel and management to resolve issues and diagnose and conduct overall plumbing and spray system maintenance on schedule as required.

You will perform preventive maintenance on schedule for machines and supporting equipment, assemble, install, test, and maintain basic electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, and connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.

You will troubleshoot and replace or repair mechanical and electrical systems, maintain tools, keep them clean and in good working condition, and keep work areas organized, clean, and free to move in.

You will work in a safe manner to protect yourself and coworkers, identify unsafe conditions, and correct them, and work with management to resolve safety concerns.

You will follow all compliance, food safety, and biosecurity rules, policies, and procedures and report any violations to a supervisor.

You will assist other Technical Service employees with any other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and additional trade or technical school education for maintenance, mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical is also preferred.

You will have knowledge of electrical, electrical testing devices, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and prefer 2+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance.

Maintenance experience in the food, poultry, or agriculture industry is not required but is a plus.

You will have reading and comprehension skills necessary to read, understand, and follow SOPs and other written instructions or work details.

You will be able to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and management, have a sound work ethic, honesty, team-oriented, and moral character, and have attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with safety equipment such as LOTO, harnesses, lanyards, hoists, and PPE is a plus, and you will be able to work overtime, weekends, and holiday hours as required based on production demand.

You must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 75+ pounds, walk, climb ladders and stairs, stand, and sit for long periods of time, and work in tight spaces.
