HR Generalist Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team at Marsh McLennan Agency - National HR Consulting. This is a full-time position that will report directly to the HR Manager.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will be responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resource department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, which may include training, vaccinations, and certifications.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings, post open positions, and offer candidates.
- Contact job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications.
- Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Schedule and facilitate new hire orientation.
- Implement employee engagement programs.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

- Able to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with HR software (Workday) and benefits administration platforms.
