Job Title: Mental Health Technician III

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Technician III provides supportive counseling and psychoeducational groups to individuals with mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and cultural competence. This role involves supervision support to the Program Director and provision of direct services to residents, including assistance with personal hygiene and daily living tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to residents, focusing on recovery goals and mental health management.
  • Assist residents with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene and meal preparation.
  • Conduct activities with residents, including educational, social, and leisure programs.
  • Document resident progress and incidents in clinical charts and residential logs.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions, including Quality Improvement Program and multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience in mental health services.
  • Associate degree in human services and four years of experience in mental health services.
  • Valid PA State Criminal, FBI, and Child Abuse clearances.
  • CPR w/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Valid driver's license required.
