Job Description:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at KnowHireMatch. This role will be responsible for maintaining production values and ensuring adherence to customer quality standards by investigating, analyzing and resolving Production and/or New Model Development quality problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product audits, analyze defect trends, and lead cross-functional continuous improvement activities.
  • Investigate internal quality issues on production quality, processes, and equipment.
  • Serve as a communication liaison between internal and external groups regarding quality issues.
  • Establish, maintain, and track quality standards to ensure consistency.
  • Prepare FMEA's to address potential failure modes.
  • Participate in process audits to address specific issues.
  • Document and communicate problem tracking activities and monthly performance reports.
  • Analyze monthly performance reports and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with departments to confirm packaging trials meet quality standards.
  • Train and mentor new engineers in a hands-on environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the quality functions within the automotive supplier industry.
  • Experience in JIT manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality tools including FMEA, capability studies, and GD&T.
  • Plastic Injection molding process and process improvement experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9000 and AIAG standards.
