Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients of all ages with medical problems or health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and adaptive equipment training.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and coordination.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Illinois licensure and CPR/AED certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical and intellectual capacity to carry out treatment programs and documentation.
The Occupational Therapist will work in our Outpatient Orthopedic Rehabilitation clinic and Inpatient Medical/Surgical units, providing care to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate must be able to work accurately and effectively in oral and written directions and communication, and enjoy working with people and working cooperatively with other hospital staff.
