We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Assistant Professor of Exercise Science to join our faculty at the University of Alabama. This is a full-time, renewable contract position that will begin in August 2025.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching up to 8 classes per academic year in exercise science or related areas. They will also be expected to engage in service activities related to the departmental and college missions, including participating in professional organizations and academic citizenship.
Responsibilities- Teach up to 8 classes per academic year in exercise science or related areas
- Meet with prospective students and their families, and attend events on campus aimed at prospective students
- Participate in professional organizations
- Participate in academic citizenship
- Earned doctorate in exercise science or a related field
- Previous teaching experience in exercise science
- Professional certification such as ACSM-EP or NSCA CSCS
