Job Title: Senior SEC Reporting Staff Accountant

Tradeweb is seeking a highly skilled Senior SEC Reporting Staff Accountant to join our team in New York City. As a key member of our SEC Reporting department, you will be responsible for preparing the company's quarterly and annual financial statements, including Form 10-Q and 10-K, and assisting in the preparation of various other Investor Relations documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and review of financial statements, footnotes, and supporting documents for quarterly and annual reports
  • Analysis of key financial statement variances and preparation of Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and other key SEC disclosures
  • Coordination with investor relations, public relations, and SEC legal counsel in the preparation and review of quarterly earnings documents, including the quarterly earnings release and slides for the quarterly earnings and investor presentations
  • Assistance with the preparation of ad hoc financial reports, including pro forma financial schedules and monthly/quarterly reporting packages for senior management
  • Preparation of SEC and GAAP checklists, related-party analysis, and memo documentation in accordance with ASC 606
  • Preparation of monthly stock-based compensation expense journal entries and review of expense calculations performed by a third-party service provider
  • Preparation of quarterly earnings per share calculations
  • Research and assessment of applicability of new GAAP/SEC guidance
  • Contribution to the company's finance transformation goals and initiatives, aimed at streamlining and automating processes from record to report and continuous enhancements to the internal control environment
  • Assistance with SOX documentation processes, including communication with internal and external auditors for information requests and explanations related to audit requests and internal controls
  • Mentorship and training of junior staff
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of SEC reporting experience, including at least 3+ years of Big Four public accounting experience working with SEC clients (preferred)
  • CPA certification required
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with experience manipulating large amounts of data in Excel
  • Strong technology skills, including the ability to use or learn new tools such as Alteryx, ChatGPT, etc. to drive efficiency and automation in previously manual processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities while adhering to tight deadlines
  • Workiva experience a plus
