We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Travel Coordinator to join our team at the Alaska Heart Institute. As a key member of our Clinical Services department, you will be responsible for coordinating travel arrangements for patients undergoing medical treatment.
Your primary duties will include:
- Obtaining authorization for local and air travel, ensuring timely and efficient transportation for patients.
- Providing patients with approved accommodations, if authorized to stay overnight in Anchorage.
- Obtaining certification of medical necessity for each visit outside of the plan of care to cover services.
- Collaborating with other team members and external agencies to ensure seamless travel arrangements.
We offer a competitive salary range of $20-23/hour, dependent on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college experience with medical terminology and CMA certification preferred.
Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare environment; three years' experience in Medicaid Travel preferred.
