About the Role

As a Technical Business Analyst at Capco, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and transformation by analyzing, designing, and consulting on business solutions. You will work closely with clients to understand their strategic direction, issues, and project goals, and translate business requirements into actionable IT applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and facilitate client meetings and workshops to gather and document business requirements
  • Conduct structured research and analysis to develop and evaluate procedures, controls, user requirements, and functional specifications
  • Create business requirement documents (BRDs) and use cases/functional specifications for customization
  • Requirements gathering, functional requirements, user stories, and documentation of business/data/application/technology architectures, requirements, and business rules
  • Business process models/design, logical data models, standards, and guidance
  • Document and explain problems and works to resolve software defects while ensuring technical compatibility and end-user satisfaction
  • Analyze, develop, and propose enhancements to current business processes, reports, and applications to optimize system effectiveness
  • Conduct customer interviews and produce meeting summaries
  • Conduct market/client research and industry analysis of requirements
  • Produce high-quality verbal and written consulting deliverables, including proposals, customer presentations, and consulting reports
  • Generate re-usable intellectual capital in the form of consulting methodology and templates, blueprints, and business cases
  • Basic scripting and project plans
Requirements
  • 3+ years of Business Analyst experience
  • Experience working for a management consulting firm desired
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience with ETL
  • Background in financial services or energy a plus
  • Experience interviewing client executives to gather and document business requirements
  • Process mapping experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience writing project proposals
  • Ability to demonstrate project management skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; major in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business, or Financial Engineering preferred
  • An advanced degree is desirable
