Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures
  • Position patients correctly for scanning, taking into account their comfort and safety
  • Operate computed tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to patients as needed to enhance image quality
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality and meet medical standards
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation, ensuring a safe working environment for patients and staff
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging requests, patient information, and scan results
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and procedures, including the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist or in a related field
  • ARRT National certification with registration in computed tomography
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
