Job Title: Computed Tomography Technologist

Job Summary:
Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to fill a travel job in Plano, Texas. As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. This is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Responsibilities:
Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
Maintain accurate patient records
Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements:
1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
BLS certification
ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
State-specific licensing when required
