Job Title: Staff Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Psychiatrist to join our team at the California Correctional Health Care Services. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to inmates at our correctional facility.

Job Summary:

The Staff Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for inmates. You will also be responsible for conducting individual and group therapy sessions, as well as providing medication management and other mental health services as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for inmates
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions
  • Provide medication management and other mental health services as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for inmates
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in accordance with facility policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in California
  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Experience working in a correctional setting or with a similar population
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
