Job Summary:

The Staff Psychiatrist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health disorders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose patients with mental health disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
  • Provide psychiatric services to patients in a correctional facility setting
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in California
  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a correctional facility setting
  • Knowledge of correctional healthcare policies and procedures
