Position Overview:
We are thrilled to present a remarkable opportunity for a Sonographer specializing in OBGYN and/or Maternal Fetal Medicine to become a vital part of our team at Pediatrix Medical Group.
About the Role:
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in delivering diagnostic ultrasound examinations for patients. You will collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care is provided. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing patients for ultrasound assessments and ensuring they are well-informed about the procedures.
  • Conducting ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and meticulously recording anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for physician interpretation.
  • Assisting physicians during invasive procedures that require ultrasound guidance.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Ensuring the ultrasound equipment is functioning correctly and addressing any malfunctions promptly.
  • Managing inventory of ultrasound supplies and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • A minimum of 6-12 months of relevant experience.
  • RDMS certification in OB/GYN is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine or OBGYN is essential.
  • Fetal Echo registry is preferred but not required; willingness to undergo training is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
