Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our team at HeartPlace PLLC - US Heart and Vascular. As a key member of our cardiovascular care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients with heart and vascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses related to cardiology
  • Practice as an extender/collaborator for physicians, evaluating and treating patients according to established plans of care
  • Support ancillary staff, including sonographers, nurses, and medical assistants
  • Respond to patient calls, ordering and conducting diagnostic and laboratory tests as needed
  • Prescribe pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapies, providing patient education and counseling
  • Participate in quality assurance review and maintain accurate, legible, and confidential records
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program at the master's level
  • Current authorization to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
  • Current certification from a nationally recognized organization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current authorization for prescriptive authority from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas and Board of Medical Examiners for the State of Texas
  • Current ACLS certifications
  • Fluently speak, read, and write English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
