Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Shifts Per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $32 - $53
Job Overview:As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), you will provide exceptional care to patients with complex heart, lung, and vascular conditions. This role is ideal for dedicated nurses looking to grow in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee patient care in the CVICU, utilizing a professional practice model.
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize needs, and create individualized care plans.
- Monitor high-acuity patients undergoing treatments such as STEMI, LVAD implantation, and other cardiovascular procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement and evaluate care plans, adjusting them as necessary to meet patient goals.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, providing education and support.
- Utilize problem-solving strategies to address challenges in patient care, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
- Participate in unit-based councils and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and valid nursing license.
- Minimum of one year (preferably two years) of recent full-time experience in Telemetry/Cardiac Intermediate Care & CVICU.
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
