Hourly Wage: $12.00-$14.00

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Food Court Cashier is responsible for executing financial transactions with customers through the cash register, ensuring accuracy and providing exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate the cash register efficiently.
  • Deliver friendly and professional service to all patrons.
  • Accurately compute daily receipts and maintain balance.
  • Ensure cash, credits, and debit transactions are reconciled at the end of each shift.
  • Prepare revenue reports for supervisory review at the conclusion of each shift.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in operating electronic cash registers.
  • Awareness of cleanliness standards as mandated by regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to engage with customers appropriately and professionally.

SUPERVISION:
The incumbent works under the general supervision of the Food and Beverage Director, with guidance on tasks and procedures as needed.

WORKING GUIDELINES:
The Cashier utilizes personal experience along with established operational procedures and guidelines from the organization.

JOB COMPLEXITY:
The role may involve navigating complex situations and requires adaptability in problem-solving.

IMPACT:
The work contributes to customer satisfaction and the financial success of the Food and Beverage Department.

CONTACTS:
Interactions range from local patrons to distinguished guests, necessitating a high level of service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position involves minimal physical exertion, primarily standing and walking between service areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work setting is similar to that of a bar or lounge, characterized by a lively atmosphere.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a cashier role is preferred, but training is available.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills are essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
