At Cumberland County, we're seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Child Health Clinic, you'll play a vital role in providing top-notch care to our young patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in pediatric nursing and experience working with children. You'll be responsible for coordinating acute care services, administering immunizations, and implementing the NCIR tracking system for immunization. Additionally, you'll assist with case management for patients diagnosed with asthma, diabetes, and sickle cell disease.

Your expertise will also be utilized in representing the Child Health Clinic on the agency Epidemiology Task Force, as well as providing clinical administrative support duties for the Child Health Clinic and Immunizations department.

About the Job

This position offers a competitive salary of approximately $60,000 per year, based on your qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.

Responsibilities
  • Direct patient care and provide high-quality medical treatment to children.
  • Assist medical providers with examinations and treatments.
  • Implement the NCIR tracking system for immunization and administer vaccinations as needed.
  • Provide case management for patients diagnosed with asthma, diabetes, and sickle cell disease.
  • Represent the Child Health Clinic on the agency Epidemiology Task Force.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a state-accredited program of practical nurse education and one year of practical nurse experience.
  • Licensed to practice as a practical nurse in North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing.
  • Considerable knowledge of practical nursing techniques and routine care and treatment of all types of clients.
  • Skill in the operation of general and specialized equipment used in the area of assignment.
