About the Role:
At Dental Associates Group, we're seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during dental procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), providing accurate and high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide patients with oral care instructions following surgery or other dental treatments, promoting optimal recovery and outcomes.
- Record patient medical histories and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring seamless communication and care coordination.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to our practice's high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Valid x-ray certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant
- Experience taking impressions and pouring models
- Experience assisting during a variety of procedures such as CR/SR fillings, crown/bridge prep
- Ability to set up and break down operatories
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience with dental software such as Open Dental is preferred
