Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cafeteria Worker/Cook to join our team. As a Cafeteria Worker/Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to our students, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
  2. Ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standards.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  4. Assist with food inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
  5. Collaborate with the manager to develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes.
  6. Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Food service certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Basic math skills and ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a 180-day contract. The work schedule will vary, with hours per day and week changing as needed.
