Athletic Training Specialist

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including review of medical history, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations. Accurately communicate and present this information to the physician.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on their conditions, treatment plans, and instructions/protocols to ensure understanding and adherence.
- Event Coverage: Provide athletic training coverage for events affiliated with Cayuga Health System, including camps, tournaments, health fairs, and educational classes.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including acting as a physician-patient liaison, conveying concerns and information.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure/Certification: Certified as an ATC by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC). Eligible for ATC license in New York State.
- Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to assess situations and make decisions, and ability to lift 50lbs.
$22.25 to $24.50 per hour.
