Position Overview:

Korsail Energy is on the lookout for a Renewable Energy Project Manager to enhance our expanding team. This role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in utility-scale solar or energy storage development, who are eager to oversee renewable energy projects throughout all stages of the development process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify market opportunities, conduct due diligence, and negotiate purchase and lease agreements for potential development sites.
  • Oversee local and national permitting processes for multiple projects across various jurisdictions.
  • Manage a diverse array of consultants, engineers, legal advisors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Control project development budgets and timelines to ensure completion on schedule and within budget.
  • Originate and negotiate power purchase agreements.
  • Engage directly with landowners, investors, and other project stakeholders.

We are looking for a candidate with 1-3 years of experience in utility-scale solar project development. Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, proactive, supportive, and collaborative.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a solar project management or development role at a utility-scale solar developer.
  • Experience with projects connecting to Independent System Operators (ISOs) and the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act (PURPA).
  • Demonstrated success in project management, land development, and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Understanding of financial principles and energy markets.
  • Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth.
  • Experience in land acquisitions and project zoning/permitting.
  • Knowledge of transmission and distribution-level interconnection.
  • Experience with energy storage systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in project management software and the MS Office suite.
  • Must be diligent, friendly, and comfortable with occasional travel and extended hours.
Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 annually, with variations based on individual factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as annual bonuses and a comprehensive range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, financial plans, and various paid time off benefits.

Details regarding participation in these benefit plans will be provided upon receiving an employment offer.

All employees will be in an 'at-will' position, and Korsail Energy reserves the right to adjust base salary and other compensation programs as necessary.
