About the Role

Parallel Ag is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Precision Technology Manager to lead and grow our precision agriculture business. This critical role will drive the strategic direction of our precision technology business while implementing and managing cutting-edge agricultural technologies to optimize farm operations.

Job Summary

The Precision Technology Manager will collaborate with farmers to assess their specific needs and develop tailored precision farming solutions. This role involves providing hands-on training and technical support to ensure seamless operation of precision agriculture systems. By staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in agricultural technology, the Precision Technology Manager will continually innovate and promote sustainable farming practices, driving productivity and profitability in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to expand and enhance the precision agriculture business, including sales growth targets and market penetration plans.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of precision technology specialists, ensuring guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate precision technology solutions with other aspects of the agricultural business, such as agronomy, equipment, and data management.
  • Technology Implementation: Implement and manage precision agriculture technologies, including GPS guidance systems, variable rate technology, and remote sensing tools.
  • Farmers Support: Collaborate with farmers to assess their specific needs and develop customized precision farming solutions tailored to their operations.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data collected from precision agriculture tools to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Customer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience working with precision agriculture technologies, such as GPS guidance systems, drones, and precision planting equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused mindset and the capacity to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute business plans and initiatives effectively.
