Part-Time Eye Exam Specialist for US Veterans

We are seeking licensed Optometrists or Ophthalmologists to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's SHA process in a non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments.
This is a rewarding opportunity with a flexible work schedule, allowing you to make a difference in the lives of Veterans while maintaining your autonomy as an independent contractor.
About the RoleAs an eye exam specialist, you will:
- Review Veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
- Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
- Complete and submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam.
By joining MRG Exams, you will have the chance to support those who served our country by assisting with their healthcare assessments. You will enjoy a part-time commitment of one day per week, Wednesdays 8a-4p, and have the flexibility to work independently as a 1099 contractor.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should:
- Be a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
- Be proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
- Be credentialed to meet the VA's requirements.
- Have a passion for serving Veterans.
- Be skilled in analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.
- Excel in both written and oral communication.
- Be detail-oriented and capable of submitting forms within required timelines.
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
