Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate proactive measures to resolve accounts in a timely and efficient manner.
- Respond promptly and accurately to all incoming correspondence and inquiries from insurance companies and other stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to resolve account issues.
- Develop and implement action plans to resolve accounts and improve cash flow.
- Review EOBs to ensure accurate and timely resolution of accounts.
- Collaborate with the patient financial services team to ensure seamless communication and resolution of account issues.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex account issues.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with one to three years of experience in patient financial services or a related field.
- Medical background with experience in patient financial services is preferred.
- Previous experience in insurance billing and follow up is also preferred.
