We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician III to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation of medications in our oncology department.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with USP 795, 797, and 800 guidelines.
- Operate pharmacy automation systems and electronic medical records with proficiency.
- Handle and deliver medications, including controlled substances and hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of medication preparation and delivery.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain competency in specialized areas.
- Assist in training and development of pharmacy personnel.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Active registration with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy.
- PTCB or NHA certification within 6 months of hire.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy with sterile compounding.
