Position Overview: The Clinical Coordinator for the Radiologic Technology Program is responsible for the education and oversight of students within the clinical environment. This role is integral to the success of the program and reports directly to the Department Chair of Diagnostic Medical Imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an engaging course schedule that includes clinical, laboratory, and theoretical instruction.
  • Facilitate and assess competencies in clinical settings related to the Radiologic Technology curriculum.
  • Conduct regular clinical visits to provide hands-on instruction and support to students.
  • Evaluate student performance during clinical visits using appropriate assessment tools.
  • Monitor academic progress and maintain detailed records of student achievements while contributing to curriculum development.
  • Engage in regular consultations with students regarding their progress and provide necessary feedback.
  • Review imaging cases and competencies with students to ensure understanding and proficiency.
  • Coordinate departmental communications and operations, sharing best practices with peers and mentoring clinical staff.
  • Generate electronic reports detailing clinical visitations.
  • Administer competency-based assessments and related clinical tasks within affiliated Radiology Departments.
  • Collaborate with clinical agency staff to ensure students meet their clinical objectives.
  • Adhere to all academic policies and institutional regulations, demonstrating ethical and professional conduct.
  • Maintain current knowledge in clinical practice and imaging theory through ongoing professional development and collaboration with industry professionals.
  • Utilize relevant instructional technologies to enhance teaching effectiveness and operational communication.
  • Comply with all applicable college, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: A Master's degree from an accredited institution in Healthcare Administration or Radiological Sciences, including specific coursework in radiological sciences.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of teaching experience in radiological sciences or equivalent industry experience.
  • OR
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Healthcare Administration or Radiological Sciences, along with an associate degree in Radiological Sciences.
  • Experience: At least six years of teaching experience in the Radiological Sciences or equivalent industry experience.

Licensure/Certification: Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and a valid driver's license or access to transportation.

Recommended Work Traits: Comprehensive knowledge of instructional methods and materials, ability to collaborate effectively, and maintain detailed records of student progress.
