About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laborer to join our construction team. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion The Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.

  • Provide support to other craft workers on project sites, including structural construction, heavy concrete construction, demolition, and framing.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas, including sweeping debris, gathering and discarding trash, scrap iron and wood, and removing snow and ice.
  • Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions when clarification is needed.
  • Load and unload materials as needed.
  • Have minimum tools associated with the trade.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to the supervisor and/or Safety.
Requirements
  • Perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a threat of harm to self or others.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and emails.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and emails.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to apply understanding to carrying out simple one-or-two step instructions.
