Position Title: Beauty Education Instructor

Are you a seasoned Hair Stylist or an Educator in Cosmetology eager to share your knowledge and skills with aspiring professionals in our field? Douglas J is seeking dedicated Cosmetologists and Licensed Educators to motivate and instruct our students, both during the day and in the evening. If you are not yet a licensed Educator, we offer paid training to help you meet state requirements for licensure.

Key Responsibilities:

Your Role Includes:

  • Delivering engaging lessons under the mentorship of the Education Coach and Program Team Lead.
  • Guiding students to achieve their highest potential in mastering the curriculum.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in the beauty education field.
  • Upholding professional standards and ethical conduct in all interactions.
  • Providing timely feedback on student assignments.
  • Instructing on proper sanitation practices and supervising cleanliness throughout the day.
  • Managing the classroom environment to ensure adherence to school policies.
  • Demonstrating problem-solving skills in classroom management scenarios.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

What We Seek:

  • A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in the beauty industry.
  • Possession of a valid State of Illinois Cosmetology license.
  • Familiarity with Aveda products and curriculum is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to hold peers accountable.
  • A capacity to excel in a dynamic, professional educational environment.
