Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to become a vital part of our healthcare team at Genie Healthcare. The successful candidate will deliver direct patient care under the guidance of registered nurses or physicians, ensuring the comfort and health of our patients.

Compensation:
$40 blended hourly rate

Contract Details:
  • 3 openings available
  • 18-week contracts

Available Shifts:
  • 6p-6a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday (rotating 36/48 hour weeks)
  • 2p-10p Sunday through Thursday
  • 6a-6p Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide appropriate care.
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and communicate any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Perform laboratory tests and analyze results.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.

Required Skills:
  • Proficient in medication administration and patient assessment.
  • Experience in infant care, assisted living, and neonatal ventilator support.
  • Familiarity with dialysis procedures and Athenahealth software is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
