We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Professional to join our team at University Health Associates. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to adolescent patients, utilizing your expertise in pediatric medicine to deliver comprehensive and individualized care.
Responsibilities- Manage comprehensive and individualized care for adolescent patients, including reproductive health, preventative services, and acute/chronic care in the ambulatory setting.
- Complete integrated assessments and order additional tests or consults as deemed appropriate, collaborating with Adolescent Pediatric division faculty or following established clinical Guidelines and Protocols.
- Perform and communicate results of diagnostic tests, consulting and communicating with clinic and hospital staff regarding abnormal findings in patient evaluations.
- Develop a comprehensive individualized plan of care for adolescent patients, including teaching, disposition planning, and necessary referral to other members of the healthcare team.
- Identify unstable or complex adolescent care situations and facilitate appropriate intervention in the clinic, recognizing emergency situations and initiating effective emergency care.
- Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master's Degree in Nursing.
- National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
- PNPs or FNPs preferred.
