Family Medicine Physician - Full-Time Opportunity
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours, with one consistent evening shift per week (until 8:00 pm).
  • No weekends required.
  • On-call rotation: Shared responsibility, one week at a time, approximately every six weeks.
  • Work hours: 40 hours per week, consisting of 32 clinical hours and 8 administrative hours, scheduled at the provider's discretion.
  • Collaborative team environment: Includes Registered Nurses, Integrated Behavioral Health Clinicians, Community Health Workers, and Patient Navigators, all available on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
The physician will engage in essential duties related to patient services at the designated health agency. As a licensed and independent provider, the physician will exercise professional clinical judgment in patient care, adhering to established clinical practice guidelines and agency policies. Responsibilities encompass delivering comprehensive primary medical care to patients, in line with the physician's training and licensure. The physician will work collaboratively with the patient care team to ensure effective care delivery. Duties include on-site patient consultations, prenatal care, and after-hours on-call support to provide clinical guidance, which may also involve off-site obstetric care.

Specific Duties Include:
  1. Participating in in-service training, orientation sessions, committee meetings, supervision, and staff gatherings.
  2. Attending relevant training and conferences as directed by leadership, which may involve travel.
  3. Supporting the mission of the health agency by acting as a liaison between the agency and the broader healthcare community.
  4. Engaging in continuing education programs, including an annual training on compliance with health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
  1. M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical institution.
  2. Board Certification (or board eligible with a defined timeline for completion) in Family Medicine.
  3. Unrestricted medical license to practice in the state.
  4. Active Federal DEA License and state-controlled substance license.
  5. Pediatric admitting privileges at a local hospital, if providing off-site obstetric care.
  6. Adult/Family Medicine admitting privileges at a local hospital, if providing off-site inpatient adult care or resident supervision.
  7. Family Medicine privileges at an outpatient practice, if providing off-site outpatient care or resident supervision.
  8. Current CPR certification.
