We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Safety Ambassador. As a key member of our community outreach program, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our downtown area.
Key Responsibilities- Deterrent Presence: Patrol designated areas on bike to prevent unwanted activity and provide a visible presence to deter potential issues.
- Observation and Reporting: Monitor the area for suspicious behavior or criminal activity and report incidents to local authorities via established communication channels.
- Conflict Resolution: Engage with individuals exhibiting unwanted behavior, firmly and courteously requesting compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to pedestrians, visitors, and local businesses, offering directions, information, and recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, sharing information and making professional contacts on behalf of SMS Holdings.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit written reports on incidents, property conditions, and daily activities, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Professionalism: Maintain a positive, professional environment, adhering to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and SMS Holdings' standards of expected professionalism.
- Physical Abilities: Possess the physical capacity to ride a bike or traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift, with normal breaks.
- Communication: Be able to speak, read, and write the English language to create basic reports.
