Clinical Instructor

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a licensed clinician to serve as the lead for the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program. This is a 100% FTE, fixed-term Clinical Instructor position.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a supportive care plan for AYA patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide direct clinical care, conduct clinical and translational research, educate healthcare providers and patients, and engage in local and national AYA advocacy efforts.
- Supervise and mentor AYA team members, focusing on growth in their individual careers.
- Partner with the AYA Medical and Research Directors to develop and advance an AYA-focused research portfolio.
- Market and communicate the AYA Program's work, including the development and use of the AYA website, and philanthropic, partnerships, and fundraising efforts.
- Licensed clinician in the state of NC (e.g., nursing, social work, psychology, counseling, physician, or related field).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to think critically and creatively, to help plan the work of others, and to work collaboratively across diverse partners and stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a leadership and supervisory role.
- 5+ years of post-Master's level experience.
- Strong clinical skills and experience working with an inter-disciplinary team.
- Experience leading and managing an interdisciplinary group of professionals.
- Experience caring for oncology patients.
- Appreciation of matrix hospital systems and processes.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Fundraising and relationships with donors.
- Quality improvement and change-management skills.
- Work with patient advisory boards.
