Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Faculty, CNA/PCA Educator to join our team at NorthWest Arkansas Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching CNA/PCA+ to high school students at our Farmington Satellite Campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver instructional materials and presentations to students.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to explain subject concepts.
  • Develop and implement a classroom management plan.
  • Provide instruction on demonstrating skills, assess student progress, and correct any unsafe or poor techniques.
  • Chaperone events outside the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
  • Meet deadlines for signed documents and attend all required meetings.
  • Maintain grade sheets for documentation and submission to the NWTI Portal.
  • Attend or hold Advisory Meetings with agenda, minutes, and sign in sheet as required.
  • Maintain records of student activities and certifications in accordance with laws and school policies.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of two (2) years nursing experience.
  • At least one (1) year of long-term care nursing services within the last five (5) years.
  • Experience in a nursing assistant education program or supervision of nursing students in a nursing facility or unit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with leadership at a community college or educational institution.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability and instructional experience at a community college.
  • Ability to use an online platform and deliver instruction using technology.
  • Experience or interest in project-based, service-learning, or inquiry-based learning.
