Job Overview:

This role involves managing both in-house and outsourced projects while ensuring compliance with the client's outsourcing strategies in designated therapeutic areas. The individual will play a crucial role in fostering partnerships with clinical trial vendors across various service categories within Research and Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate outsourcing initiatives by collaborating with operational teams, support groups, and service providers to ensure effective selection, contracting, and execution of outsourced projects while adhering to regulatory standards and ethical practices.
  • Ensure project success by meeting short-term goals and adhering to established timelines.
  • Assist the Outsourcing team with diverse tasks related to outsourcing, alliance management, Functional Service Provider (FSP) operations, and financial/resource accountability.
  • Engage with business partners and internal stakeholders regarding contractual matters as necessary.
  • Provide operational expertise, guidance, and training to teams on all aspects of outsourced activities.
  • Align teams with the relevant Client outsourcing strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of a BA or BS Degree in Legal, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical development experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or Contract Research Organization (CRO) sectors is required.
  • Experience in engaging with a diverse range of suppliers, including Contract Research Organizations, cooperative groups, and clinical laboratories, with a focus on initiating, negotiating, and executing legal and financial agreements in the clinical trials environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage key internal and external stakeholders by actively soliciting input and incorporating feedback into processes.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional, multicultural teams and the ability to influence within a matrix structure.
  • Strong time management skills with the flexibility to handle multiple priorities and new initiatives.
  • Ability to adapt to a complex and ambiguous work environment while maintaining high performance levels.
