Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in the Building Automation Systems (BAS) department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing projects from start to finish, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Ensure that all project activities are aligned with the latest construction documents and that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
- Design and Documentation: Modify and update design drawings and maintain redline documents to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the project's progress.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, procurement personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project activities are coordinated and that all necessary materials are delivered to site.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Validate that all hardware and project installations meet design requirements and that all quality control and assurance processes are followed.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot communication problems, software and hardware issues, and track and resolve all project-related problems.
- Field Quality Control and Safety Audits: Participate in field quality control and safety audits and review analysis and results to ensure that all project activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Installation and Commissioning: Coordinate with on-site contractors for the installation of equipment based on shop drawings and ensure that all installations are completed to the highest quality standards.
- Project Management: Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors during the installation phase and coordinate and address issues independently.
- Project Turnover: Contribute to the complete operation to service turnover process and ensure that all project activities are completed to the highest quality standards.
- Experience: 4+ years' experience as a Systems Application Engineer with related industry knowledge.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with HVAC and security installations and proficiency in all types of building systems and application of our technology.
- Project Management: Proven experience coordinating project team activities on site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers.
