Job Summary
The Nurse Instructor is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of the personal care and home health aide training programs, along with other clinician training essential for delivering healthcare services in a home setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training materials in accordance with Department of Health curriculums, oversee skills practice, administer and evaluate examinations, and collaborate with Elite's office to prepare students for employment as Personal Care Aides. Additional clinical tasks may be required based on class volume.
- Support the training of new nursing staff as necessary.
- Contribute to the creation and management of the clinical orientation program for new hires.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, while upholding the philosophy, mission, and values of Elite in the development and administration of training.
- Align training initiatives with business objectives and prioritize assignments accordingly.
- Utilize knowledge of current industry standards, corporate initiatives, and technologies to improve the quality and delivery of educational materials.
- Provide supervision and/or training on patient care to nursing staff and aides in the field, including occasional on-site support as needed.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including compliance with the Elite Compliance Program.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required:
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license specific to the state(s) where supervision/training of clinical staff is provided.
- Associate degree in nursing is mandatory.
- Active RN license with a minimum of three years of field experience.
- DOE Teaching Certificate, classroom experience, or willingness to attend a classroom management course.
- Two or more years of experience, with at least one year in home health or hospice settings preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and capacity to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven competence in applying processes to ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations.
Occasional travel for on-site training in care centers and the field is required. A significant portion of daily tasks involves the application of manual skills requiring motor coordination.
Compensation:The hiring range for this position is $48.00-$50.00/hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
