Position InformationThe Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Care Services department is responsible for administering respiratory care within the scope of their practice under a physician's order. This includes oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation of adult/geriatric patients.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy with communication to the physician and healthcare team.
- Understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, vision, and values in the management of patient care.
- 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy and emergency/trauma preferred.
- Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist required, NC Respiratory Care Practitioner required, Basic Life Support required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required within 30 days of hire, Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 30 days of hire, Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 30 days of hire.
7am-7pm, with weekend and call requirements as needed.
