Computed Tomography Technologist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to administer sound patient care practices, according to department and hospital policies/procedures, to ensure patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IVs, heparin locks, and central line usage as they pertain to computed tomography.
Responsibilities:- Administer computed tomography procedures to patients, ensuring accurate identification and tracking of patients according to department procedures.
- Participate in department/hospital performance improvement initiatives, in-services, and meetings to ensure optimal department functions.
- Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and employees.
- Provide clinical services according to radiology practice standards and act as a resource to radiography students and other technologists.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiography.
- Must be certified by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Must obtain CT Certification one year upon acceptance of the offer.
- Prior experience preferred as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and/or Computed Tomography Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
