The Kansas City facility of Catalent is a hub for our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services, and Clinical Supply Services divisions. Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Procurement Associate who will collaborate with operational teams to maintain optimal inventory levels for supplies and consumables, establish inventory management protocols (such as Kanban and min/max systems), and facilitate material receipts and vendor payments.

This is a full-time salaried position with core hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels and procurement tasks for various departments on site;
  • Assist in establishing inventory management systems such as Min/Max or Kanban;
  • Support MRO and Direct materials buyers with outstanding purchase orders and related invoices;
  • Dispatch approved purchase orders to designated vendors and aid in order confirmations;
  • Address any receipt discrepancies to ensure timely payments;
  • Collaborate with the procurement department on cost-saving initiatives;
  • Coordinate with back office for order processing;
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned;

Candidate Profile

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in materials management, procurement, supply chain, or a related field is preferred;
  • ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus;
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (JDE 9.2 preferred);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Word) is required;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders are essential;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities are necessary;
  • The individual may need to sit, stand, walk regularly, and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
