Position Overview:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist in evaluating patients by gathering data for RN analysis. You will implement care plans, which may include specimen collection and wound management. Responsibilities also include administering medications and documenting patient care. You will support the RN in developing care plans and assist patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility. Monitoring, documenting, and communicating patient status and responses to interventions with the RN, physician, patients, and families is essential. You will advocate for the physical and emotional health of patients.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
Essential Skills:
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently are required. The ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and take appropriate actions is crucial.
Certifications Required:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Licensure:
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in North Carolina or from a Compact State.
