We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team at Passageway Residences of Dade County. In this role, you will work with severe and persistent, chronically mentally ill individuals who are involved in the criminal justice system.

Job Overview

This program is designed to facilitate the client's transition from a hospital or penal institution to an independent, less restrictive environment of their choice and help them achieve control over their mental illness and/or any co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate group discussions to promote social skills and coping mechanisms.
  • Teach life skills to clients to enhance their independence.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work).
