Overview
American Airlines is in search of a dedicated Flight Simulator Training Specialist to join our esteemed Flight Training Academy.
Position Summary
This role involves delivering comprehensive flight simulator instruction to aspiring pilots, ensuring adherence to American Airlines' operational standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct simulator training sessions in alignment with company policies and FAA regulations.
- Provide thorough briefings on all aspects of simulator training.
- Gather necessary training materials and resources to facilitate effective instruction.
- Maintain accurate training records and evaluate student performance and proficiency.
- Offer tailored guidance and support to students requiring additional assistance.
- Contribute to the enhancement of training programs and assist in instructor development as needed.
Qualifications for Success
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possession of an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a minimum of one year as pilot in command or second in command of a large turbojet aircraft, or an equivalent military background.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Successful evaluation by an instructor selection board comprised of American Airlines management pilots.
- Completion of a qualification simulator session observed by the Fleet Training Manager.
- Ability to pass all necessary background checks and drug tests.
