Job Summary:

The Graduate Respiratory Therapist is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our department. As a Graduate Respiratory Therapist, you will work under the supervision of our Respiratory Supervisor and Department Director, and will be delegated a shift assignment to achieve quality patient care and expected productivity during a routine workflow experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care and treatment in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including expansion therapy, inhaled medication administration, and airway management.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Practitioner Program.
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Mississippi.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Pediatric Advance Life Support certification within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Respiratory therapy work experience in an acute or critical care setting.
  • Leadership experience and ability to precept less experienced therapists.
