Electrical Engineer III

At Axelon, we are seeking a highly skilled C&I Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for pipeline facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop network diagrams, instrument location plans, and input/output lists for pipeline facilities.
- Design and specify programmable logic controllers (PLCs), remote terminal units (RTUs), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Participate in proposal preparation and scope development.
- Perform site visits to gather information for electrical, instrumentation, and controls deliverables.
- Develop AC & DC power systems, one-line schematics diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Perform electrical systems analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and arc-flash calculations.
- Coordinate with project teams on P&IDs, system control philosophies, and alarm setpoints.
- Develop conceptual designs and execution plans.
- Work with clients and vendors to obtain information for engineering design deliverables.
- Responsible for Quality Assurance process adherence.
- Develop and improve processes, tools, and standards.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members.
- Provide field support during construction and commissioning.
- Support business development and marketing initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience (completion of a master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of experience).
- Professional Engineer registration strongly preferred.
- Experience in electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering for pipeline facilities.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial standards and codes.
- Previous experience specifying electrical equipment for meter station engineering and design.
- Previous experience working with SCADAPack PLCs.
- Proficient in the use of computer software (e.g., MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
