Your Role

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality respiratory care in accordance with departmental requirements and state standards.

You will perform diagnostic tests, administer therapies, and monitor patients receiving invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform patient assessment and document findings, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  2. Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  3. Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  4. Assist with artificial airway placement and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  5. Monitor patient response and notify providers as necessary.
  6. Transport ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent situations.
