Your Role
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality respiratory care in accordance with departmental requirements and state standards.
You will perform diagnostic tests, administer therapies, and monitor patients receiving invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessment and document findings, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with artificial airway placement and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient response and notify providers as necessary.
- Transport ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent situations.
