Position Overview

As a Coating Technician at Walther Arms, Inc., you will play a crucial role in our production process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating equipment such as sand blasters and wash stations, as well as creating fixtures for all components prior to coating.
  • Ensuring that all items are properly packaged for production or customer delivery.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and readiness of the facility and equipment, while also being open to additional tasks as assigned.
  • Executing a comprehensive range of activities associated with the role, including the more complex tasks.
  • Training new staff on all relevant processes and procedures.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance on the internal coating chamber.
  • Possessing a solid understanding of the coating industry, including various coating methods and equipment.
  • Participating in necessary training sessions, which may include travel for further education.
  • Performing other duties as directed by the Production Manager or Coating Specialist.

Qualifications

  • Ability to meet physical demands, including standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination with a strong attention to detail.
  • Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Fundamental knowledge of hand tools and operational experience with sand blasters and wash stations.

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Compensation: Starting pay at $15/hr ($14/hr base + $1/hr shift differential)
