Lead Housekeeper

Forefront Healthcare & Culinary Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Housekeeper to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services (EVS) team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our residents, guests, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise EVS/Housekeeping personnel to ensure a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to meet Forefront standards.
- Train and mentor EVS/Housekeeping staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Communicate with facility management and marketing staff to coordinate cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms and common areas.
- Inspect work performed by EVS/Housekeeping personnel to ensure it meets specifications and standards.
- Responsible for communicating possible staffing shortages or concerns to the EVS Director.
- Check stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts and notify EVS Director of supply needs.
- Check and maintain EVS/Housekeeping equipment to ensure it is working order and notify EVS Director of any repairs needed.
- Assure that EVS/Housekeeping equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Understand EVS/Housekeeping chemicals and their proper usage.
- Visit with residents to ensure the delivery of EVS/Housekeeping service is exceeding expectations.
- Participate in required facility meetings.
- Ensure continued compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Understand facility's fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in EVS/Housekeeping or senior living preferred.
- Leadership qualities and ability to lead and secure the cooperation of EVS personnel.
- Ability to work productively with other associates.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Must be in good mental and physical condition.
This position requires lifting, up to fifty pounds (50lbs). The Lead Housekeeper stands and walks continuously throughout the day. Reaches, stoops, bends, lifts, and carries housekeeping supplies and equipment. The Lead Housekeeper must have the ability to work with chemicals/cleaning agents and must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds (50lbs).
Physical DemandsThe Lead Housekeeper must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods of time.
